We missed the Yamaboko Junko by a few days,
which is a yearly procession of floats on 17th July…
Saw the preparation on the bus while on our way to Nishiki Market…


We got a bit lost while on our way to Nishiki Market…
And we ventured into one of the UFO machine shop.
With the help of the friendly staff, we caught these 2 Poohs! Yippy!

Nishiki Market where local specialties,
both raw and processed food like vegetables, fish,
dried food, Japanese pickles, tea leaf and etc are sold.


The market is about 6 blocks long and runs east-west,
from Teramachi Street to Takakura Street,
located one block north of Shijio-dori.
To catch a glimpse of the local food culture,
this is definitely a must-visit place!
