After several days of exploring Tokyo, it is finally time for shopping!
Destination for the day : Shibuya!
Shibuya is known as one of the
fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major
nightlife area. A prominent landmark of Shibuya is the large intersection in
front of the station which is heavily decorated by neon advertisements and giant
video screens and gets crossed by amazingly large crowds of pedestrians each
time the traffic light turns green…
The famous shopping centre includes
Shibuya 109, Shibuya 109-2, Parco and Loft…
Location: Japan - Tokyo

Breakfast at Hotel...

Compared to the sister hotel in Osaka,
the Ueno branch serves only bread, salad,
boiled egg, coffee and tea.
There’s no Japanese rice and dishes, hence we were a
bit disappointed…

After several weeks of walking, my feet are covered with blisters!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is attempting the 2016 Olympic hosting...

In front of Shibuya station - Hachikō exit…

One of the most well-known stories concerning Shibuya is the story of Hachikō,
a
dog who waited on his late master at Shibuya Station every day from 1923 to
1935,
eventually becoming a national celebrity for his loyalty...

A statue of Hachikô was built adjacent to the Shibuya station,
and the surrounding Hachikô Square is now the
most popular meeting point in the area…

The famous intersection point in front of Shibuya station…

The large advertisements and giant video screens…

First destination of the day, Shibuya 109-2…

The first store that welcomed us… Hello Kitty (Again)!

And I’m really glad that I’m NOT a Kitty fan…

Each lift platform is uniquely decorated…

Guess what this it…
It’s actually a neon print machine! Look at the no.
of huge lights…

Lots of hair accessories to choose from…

Barbie’s clothes for Adults… and mind u, they are not cheap at all!

The Suit Company – Jap version of G2000…
It’s great for me as their shirts are
small and fitting
(unlike Singapore where I can hardly find any fitting shirts)…

And now it’s time to conquer the famous Shibuya 109!

Shibuya 109 spans across several levels, each one of them packed with Ladies’
fashion stores selling hip and trendy clothing. It is something like our Far
East Plaza in Singapore, but it is much classier and store’s aren’t that small…
In my
view, you can forget about Shibuya 109-2 as most shops cater to the Japanese
young man. The clothes provided are mainly funky style (unsuitable for Vance
though he still consider himself young)… Whereas Shibuya 109 is a ladies’ heaven!
Shopping @ Shibuya 109 is a must for young trendy ladies…
